Penang.. the after stories

The Penang trip was so good.. Workwise, managed to do some very productive networking.. The best thing was the reunion and how the plans for the night at Batu Feringhi totally changed..!

Thanx to Linda who brought us around the island. It's definitely AROUND the island tour. We started at our Traders Hotel-which Linda thought at first we're staying at E&O Hotel since the workshop was there. So, Linda said on the phone, "Linda tunggu depan Esso". Hmm.. Esso mana ada dekat2 Traders ni??, kata one pakcik at the hotel. So, it was some miscommunication & Linda finally 'found' us at Traders..hehe..

So, we went to Batu Feringhi (the houses was so beautiful yet expensive), stop at the Hard Rock Hotel (snap some pictures with 'The Beatles' beautiful memoir, walk & shop a bit), drove through Balik Pulau (it was the famous durian area, if it's musim durian, surely we can taste some 'Durian Udang Merah' that's sooo yummy.. Linda recommended but I've not tasted yet la.. ) & lastly to our reunion stop at Makbul Nasi Kandar Restaurant, near Linda-Mawi's house.

We met Halim, Mawi, Linda and kids there.. Halim ordered 'pasembur' but he said unfortunately that pasembuq is not real, takdak sayur, just cucuq. Takpa la, it's the thought that counts. So, the conversation started macam biasa.. It doesn't feel like we all haven't met for looonng time. It all came natural. All the old stories as usual did surface out. It's normal for old friends whenever met right? Lawak pun ada. Ye la, dulu budak2 sikit, now dah 'tua'. Mawi pun dah businessman now.. he..

I'll post some pictures soon.. but overall, everyone looks like the good old days.. Seronok..!!

However, next time Halim said, we should try the pasembuq at Padang Kota, baru real.. And more 'kaw' Nasi Kandar for Ayu..hehe

Penang.. Here I come..

I'm going to Penang next week for a workshop. While doing that, why not make a plan of my own.. he.. I always slot in leisure with business. Normally, I'll bring the whole family with me. But this time, my son is already in Std 3, so, better not to disturb his school days. Nasib baik it's only 3 days. And, again and again really appreciate, indebted, grateful that I have a very rajin and understanding hubby who always take care of my little ones while I'm away.. Tuk mak & atuk are near as well, so that actually is a relief everytime I'm away..

So, ex-Syracuse-ans are having a tiny reunion affair. It will be Ayu, Linda and Halim if time permits. I definitely WILL make the time. Please, please, please.. Last time I went to my cousins place near that tapak pesta Pulau Pinang. Now, it's the old friends event. Am really looking forward to this... Penang, here I come..!!

Weekend blues..

Memories..
Sometimes it struck to me that a person should not remember the old days..but rather live forward.
Good old memories are best kept in the heart, nicely wrapped..
But reunion with good old friends make some visions to flash back.
Sometimes it makes you happy, sometimes it bring back those 'I don't want to recall' thingy..

Thinking of that, now one of the 'recall' that I want to pursue is to do ice skating again.. There's only one place that I know of.. the ice skating rink at Sunway Pyramid. It was waaaaay back in Syracuse more than 10 yrs ago that I did this ice skating thing.. wow, that long eh?

So today, dear hubby and kids, jom.. mama wants to try her skill.. Was it a skill? No.. i think it's more like a skate and down, skate and down.. hehe.. But it all depends on my daughter's 'ability' to let go of me while doing this sort of activities.. because abang will be clinging to ayah or hmm.. perhaps, the other way round? Coz hubby was in Melbourne.. do they have ice skating rink there.. I wonder.. hehe..
