I'm at home now, recuperating after my laproscopy. A second one actually. It was at the same left ovary.
During the 1st laproscopy, the gynae just sucked out the liquid inside without bothering to send the liquid for lab analysis or even to remove the cyst wall. I was okay with it at first.. But after just a year, to discover that I'm having another ovarian cyst at the same left spot, left me feeling really devastated. I did the laproscopy, so why? Statistics stated that normally the chances of recurrence is 60% in a period of 5 years! So why for me it recurred so fast, just over a year later..huhu.. It seemed that it may be largely due to the gynae's act of not removing the cyst wall. The wall's being intact, causing water & menstrual blood to find their way back in & voila..! Forming the whole cyst 'ball' again.
So, this time around, I was referred to an endometriosis specialist, basically another gynae. This time around also the whole procedure took longer time, in about 2 hours. They sucked out the liquid, inspect the whole uterus & ovary areas, 'break down' the cyst wall & send these samples to lab for further analysis. It's a normal procedure.. BUT! I'm still scared.. Scared of this & that.. owh... Kenapala perempuan macam2 la disease..? hmm.. this endo is hormone related. Estrogen related.
Writing about this has made me kinda scared, freaked out.. anxious to know the results.. So, fellas, I'm signing off now.. Will update on the results soon.. Insyaallah it's a normal one..
