Endometriosis - common women problem

Here's some Natural Remedies for those with endo or even ovarian cyst - these problems are actually hormone related..
  • Diet for endometriosis
    • Change your diet to minimize xenoestrogen exposure. As much as you can, eliminate non-organic dairy products, beef and chicken. (Note that because organic foods contain no added growth hormones, there’s no reason to limit their consumption.)
    • Increase nutrient-rich foods, especially cruciferous vegetables, soy, cold-water fish and fiber, all of which support hormonal balance and help clear excess estrogen from the body.
    • Follow a whole foods diet, being mindful of carbohydrates, to support healthy insulin metabolism and thereby support overall hormonal balance. This includes limiting alcohol intake.
  • Maintain healthy levels of body fat to limit endogenous estrogen production. Body fat is a secondary production site for estrogen, so excess weight often means excess estrogen.
  • Supplement with vitamins and minerals to make up for what is lacking in your daily food intake, including calcium and magnesium.
  • Supplement with phytotherapy to gently normalize hormone levels.
  • Supplement with omega–3 essential fatty acids as a natural anti-inflammatory.
  • Minimize exposure to xenoestrogens in your environment. Don’t microwave food in plastic wrap or containers, and try to minimize the use of plastics for food storage.

It's Labuan Island

Yes, it's definitely an island. From South to North only took us 40km & 1 day of renting a Toyota Vios filled with RM30 fuel was considered so much. The fuel level didn't dropped much.

We visited Labuan since mama has a technical course to attend for a week. Ayah & the kids joined in the middle of week.. Flight free..! Thanx to MAS Enrich redemption.. hehe..

Places to visit..
Drive around the island & you could see stretches & stretches of beautiful beaches.. Go to the Memorial Park - it's where the World War II soldiers are being 'remembered'. The place is not scary at all and very well kept. It looked like the cemetary in Washington DC where the past US presidents, soldiers and others are buried. There's a beach playground just before that for your kids to play & feast their eyes on the many sizes of ships & boats.. Or you can stay at Waterfront Hotel (like we did) & you can have the best views of the ships, yatchs & alike. A place not to be missed is of course the duty free shop. The one shop labelled 'kedai harga patut' is called 'Moneygain'. It's in the mall & also along the main road (can't remember the name of the road at the moment.). It's cheap..

Beaches along the road

 Places to eat..
We ate at the Mawilla Yacth Club. Mind the name.. it's just a normal seafood restaurant, at the beach. Very relaxing, santai. It's located about 2-3 minutes drive from Grand Dorsett or Waterfront Hotel. The nice thing is the food there is cheap & fresh. The size of the 'bawal' fish is like a normal 'Siakap' in KL/Selangor Tomyam Seafood Reataurant.. Very big for me though. As for the crab, choose the 'salted egg crab' dish from the menu, it's finger licking good. It's definitely for you Crab lovers.. ! For the vege, try the 'Sabah vege'. That's the name. It's like the 'paku pakis' & they cooked it nicely.

Another eatery to go is Anjung Ketam.  We didn't go there though as it's a bit north and outskirt. It's located at Tanjung Aru area, near to the kampung.

Some of the 1kg of crabs... yummy..!

Hotel to avoid..
People say that the Manuka Beach Resort is haunted.. Don't know how true it is but we went to that area & it's wooden, outskirt and a bit gloomy. It's way up north, away from Labuan city centre & all the shops. Those who want privacy might consider it, but my advice is to get some more views from the locals or others who knows about the hotel. Unless you like such haunting experience, go ahead..

Ok for now..

East Coast oh east coast

Hi... Just came back from a family holiday at Teluk Chempedak, Kuantan. We went there looong time ago when my son was only 1++ years old and the adik is not yet even 'cuddled' in mummy's 'tummy'.. he..

It's a definite stop to this one gerai on the way to Kemaman, directly located infront of the Bank Rakyat or TM (not so sure) blue 'rumah rehat'. You can have all the sata, otak-otak & kepok lekor that you ever want. Price wise, very cheap as it's just a roadside stall. Famous enough for the locals and 'tourists' like us..

Actually, very much missed this area as during my early years in my current company, I need to attend some technical courses in Cherating area, all the work and warehouse visits.. Eventually, this place is quite close to the heart & the food is marvellous..

If you have small kids you can also bring them to the 'Penyu Sanctuary' in Cherating, Just follow the infamous 'Club Med' signage & it's just next to Club Med's guard house. Officially it's free & just your own courtesy to contribute to the 'penyu' (turtle) wildlife preservation. Though it's not an attractively decorated building, it's enough, it's natural, a learning place suitable for you & kids and just it..he..
